Resort S/S15 - Denim

Pictures: Style.com
Denim Fever like never before. Embellished, high-waisted, flared, decorated....yeah, you name it and you'll find it. Denim works at any occasion. You'll probably have a pair to much in the wardrobe so why not give it face lift by adding some precious stones, fringes or embroidery? i think that will be one of my DIY projects for the spring.

Have a great Saturday!

FEATURE // YUYAN HE . FASHION DESIGNER + ILLUSTRATOR

Our feature today is talented YUYAN HE who is a Fashion Designer.  She recently finished her MA Fashion Design Degree in the US and began her career as a Fashion Designer and Illustrator for various clients from NYC, Dallas and Atlanta since 2011.

Yuyan's signature style lies in her keen ability to capture and find inspiration in a great variety of artistic disciplines (architecture, painting, cinema, music, etc) and to creatively translate them into  modern, dynamic, and yet timeless fashion.  She likes challenging new things and competing in a limited timeline and the use of materials.

You can view her new collection"ARCH COLLECTION" which is a mini collection she finished all by herself in a month and a half - www.yuyanhe.nyc.

You can also view her amazing portfolio here and here.  Below is a glimpse of some of her images from her portfolio of fashion illustrations and ideation mood boards.

Retro Stripes

Feeling the romantic vibe of the midi-skirt. Striped garments have been big this season with no importance of the direction. I personally prefer when they are on the diagonal when smaller stripes and vertical when they are thicker. Blue, red and white is today's colour theme and it makes me long for spring. I really hope it will come soon as I'm getting tired of the winter coats.

Happy Friday!

TRENDS // TRENDSTOP . SS 2016 COLORS

A great resource for fashion and creative professionals is Trendstop.com an online fashion and trend forecasting agency based in London.  They have an extensive data for forecasts and trends in all areas of clothing, accessories and beauty for Men's and Women's.

Here is a key Women's color trend for the S/S 2016 season. Go here to order your copy.

    SPRING PAPAYA

Dusty turmeric embodies this soft, fruity and spicy shade, continuing its presence from winter’s palette. Prada was one of the first early adopters of this color, as seen in their SS15 catwalk show. This S/S 2016 Fashion Color is ideal for the Contemporary and Missy Markets.

Playing With Lace

I'm continuing with my colour therapy. Romantic lace together with rougher biker boots, a great way to mix feminine and edgy garments together. Lace is a material that is always present season after season and I'm really glad about that. Lace and leather is another combo I really like, especially as it gives that rock-ish edge to the look. Well a pencil skirt is easy to match and I love to give it a street touch.

See you soon :)

70's Beat

I do love to find these special vintage pieces that looks very much alike what's in store. Normally it's all about luck when it comes to finding these treasures and being on the right place at the right time. This aviator jacket I found by pure luck and I wasn't even looking for anything in particular. Couldn't be happier with it.

And what about this 70's inspired jumpsuit, to die for right!? I wish the legs would have been a bit longer so when wearing heels the legs would sweep the floor, but hey it looks great anyhow.

See you soon :)

Syns snart :)
